The Herd to Harvest Collective
Follow the Herd. Support your Farmer. Restore the Land. Fill your Freezer.
The Herd to Harvest Collective is a unique opportunity to connect directly with the food you eat and the farmers that raised it.
By becoming a Herdshare Owner, you're directly supporting regenerative cattle farming at Dalmeny Acres while securing the beef of one grass-fed and finished animal from our herd.
Over the next two years, you'll follow the herd's journey through seasonal updates, farm events and opportunities to participate in life on the farm. When harvest time arrives, you'll pick up the beef from one finished animal at our local abattoir. Raised with care on our pastures with your help along the way.
As a Herdshare Owner, you'll receive:
- The beef from one grass fed and finished animal from our Angus herd
- Semi-annual herd reports and farm updates sent by email
- 2026 pricing for 2028 beef
- 5% off discount code for all purchases made at our farm store for those two years
- Easy to make recipe book for all the different cuts
- Harvest BBQ at Dalmeny Acres 1x per year
- Opportunities to work alongside the herd on a volunteer basis
Why Join?
Modern food systems have created a huge disconnect between our food and where it comes from. We no longer know where or how our food was grown and who grew it. The Herd to Harvest Collective Offers a different option.
It's an opportunity to:
- Know where your food comes from
- Support local regenerative agriculture
- Participate in stewardship of the land and ecosystem restoration
- Build a stronger local food system
- Secure high-quality grass-fed and finished beef for your family at this year's pricing
How it works:
- Purchase a Herdshare and sign the contract
- Follow the herd through regular updates and farm experiences
- Dalmeny Acres raises the herd using regenerative practices
- Once harvest time arrives (approx. summer 2028), you will choose your preferred cuts and dates for pickup
- Fill your freezer with local grass-fed and finished beef
