Community Supported Agriculture - Pork

This type of growing and selling restores the link between consumer and farmer and their communities.
Essentially before the season starts, you (the consumer) purchase a 'share' of the bounty from the season to come.
Pre-paying allows farmers to have the necessary amount of money in the bank to start their operations without needing a loan, because we all know there is lots of food to be bought, fresh water to pour and animals to move throughout the pasture BEFORE any meat is actually sold and money is coming in.
All of our pigs are raised outside, on pasture and moved to new ground often, where they have the capability to lay in the sun or the shade, wallow in their mud pit, choose to eat their grain or the grass on pasture and just generally be a pig and do piggy things.
Here at Dalmeny Acres, we sell 1/2 and whole hog packages, where we take care of all the nitty gritty information so you don't have too.
1/2 hog will be approximately 90 lbs of meat and $810
Whole hog will be approximately 180 lbs of meat and $1,620
We charge $9 per pound of meat - we do not charge by hanging weight, making the whole process more streamlined and convenient for you.

- 1 x 5 lb for 1/2 hog

- Loin/Pork Chops
- 7 packages of 2 chops for 1/2 hog (approximate)
- 14 packages of 2 chops for a whole hog (approximate)
- Loin Roast
- 2 x 5 lb roast for 1/2 hog
- 4 x 5 lb roast for a whole hog
- Pork Tenderloin
- 1 x 1.5 lb for 1/2 hog
- 2 x 1.5 lb for a whole hog
- Smoked Ham
- 4 x 5 lb roast for 1/2 hog
- 8 x 5 lb roast for a whole hog
- Ground Pork and/or Sausages
- 20 lbs for 1/2 hog
- 40 lbs for a whole hog

So how does it work?
Fill out this form and then we get in touch with you for payment options.
In every case, you pay a non refundable deposit ($150 for a half hog and $300 for a whole hog). The entire amount needs to be paid before your pig goes for harvest. We take care of sending your pig to the butcher, picking up their meat, putting it all together for you and then letting you know when to come and pick up at the farm.
Payment plans are available and delivery can be done for an extra charge.
